This Guide has been made available for purely educational purposes and is not intended for commercial use. If you find my methods useful, feel free to share them so the rest of the people can learn as well and I can keep on releasing more workarounds for all you guys.
Before we start I must tell you that you can click here and Get Diablo(R) 3 & a gift card. for free.
Run the installer you've just downloaded.
Click Install and let it update all the way.
IMPORTANT: Enter the main log in screen at least ONCE, then exit the game and go on with the rest of the steps!
Download and unpack The Diablo 3 Emulator here.
Go to your Diablo 3 Beta install folder and navigate to
.../Diablo III Beta/Data_D3/PC/MPQs/
Select all the files inside MPQs and copy them (CTRL+C).
Go back to the emulator folder and navigate to
.../Emulator/Assets/MPQ/
Paste all the files here (CTRL+V) and wait so they get copied.
Go back to the Emulator folder
.../Emulator/
Run Mooege.exe and wait for the server to start, until you see
...MooNet-Server is listening on...
Create a shortcut for Diablo III by locating Diablo III.exe in your D3 installation directory, right clicking, and pressing Create Shortcut. Right click the new shortcut and open the properties. You will see the target as: <install path>\Diablo III.exe. All that needs to be added is
-launch -auroraaddress localhost:1345
e.g. Target: "<install directory>\Diablo III.exe" -launch -auroraaddress localhost:1345
Use this shortcut to start Diablo 3 Beta and make sure the emulated server is still running.
To log in just enter the following
Username: test@
Password:(Anything)
